Lady Gaga has been verboten in China since she met with the Dalai Lama, the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, in 2016. Mr. Bieber’s troubles with China began in 2014 when he posted a photo from the Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo, which honors Japan’s war dead, including war criminals from World War II. And BTS, from South Korea, neglected last year to mention the sacrifice of China’s troops when recalling the pain of the Korean War — even though the troops fought on the side of North Korea.

NDAC was formed by experienced dialysis professionals with a long history of career success in the regulatory, clinical, and operational functions of dialysis. The daily focus of our experienced survey team is to ensure that patients in every dialysis facility are treated in a safe environment with quality care and that our dialysis provider customers and their staffs experience an accreditation survey that exceeds their service expectations.

The surveyor team was very professional from start to finish, extremely knowledgeable and delighted with the state of the facility. During the survey, the surveyor team explained to the staff what to expect during each step of the process. Because of this open communication, the staff felt comfortable with the surveyor team during their interviews with them. We will use NDAC again and recommend them highly to other dialysis providers.

NDAC has been a pleasure to work with.  Their surveyors’ methodologies are consistent, predictable, and reasonable, and in line with customary ESRD regulations. They turn around written reports incredibly quickly.  Their response time to requests and applications has been timely and faster than anything we’ve experienced in the past.

We received our Medicare certification letter for our new clinic in record time… much faster than if we would have gone through and waited for our state survey agency.

You look at the things that matter.

NDAC brings a whole new day to the survey process!

led to at least four arrests Saturday afternoon, the Seattle Police Department said.

Three of the protesters were arrested for obstruction and resisting arrest and the fourth was arrested for carrying an illegal fixed blade knife, Q13 FOX in Seattle reported. The protesters were between 25 and 33 years old.

The three protesters allegedly interfered with officers who were attempting to arrest another protester who was wanted for an alleged assault. That person was able to get away, police said.

The protests marked the one-year anniversary of the death LONDON — Only a week ago, Prime Minister Boris Johnson of Britain and his fiancée, Carrie Symonds, sent friends save-the-date cards for a wedding in July 2022, according to several British newspapers. But on Saturday, Mr. Johnson and Ms. Symonds were married in a stealth ceremony at Westminster Cathedral in London.

A spokesman for the prime minister’s office confirmed on Sunday: “The prime minister and Ms. Symonds were married yesterday afternoon in a small ceremony at Westminster Cathedral. The couple will celebrate their wedding with family and friends next summer.”

It was a characteristically dramatic twist for a relationship that had unfolded in a frenetic way from the very start.

Mr. Johnson, 56, moved into his official residence in Downing Street with Ms. Symonds in 2019 before his divorce from his second wife, Marina Wheeler, had been completed. Ms. Symonds gave birth to…

NASHVILLE — She struggled through the night as she had so many times before, restless from sickle cell pain that felt like knives stabbing her bones. When morning broke, she wept at the edge of her hotel-room bed, her stomach wrenched in a complicated knot of anger, trepidation and hope.

It was a gray January morning, and Lisa Craig was in Nashville, three hours from her home in Knoxville, Tenn., preparing to see a sickle cell specialist she hoped could do something so many physicians had been unable to do: bring her painful disease under control.

Ms. Craig, 48, had clashed with doctors over her treatment for years. Those tensions had only increased as the medical consensus around pain treatment shifted and regulations for opioid use became more stringent. Her anguish had grown so persistent and draining that she sometimes thought she’d be better off dead.

A few weeks after receiving the second dose of a coronavirus vaccine, Debora Lima returned to an old routine: She pulled out her phone and requested an Uber ride so she could meet friends for dinner.

But instead of getting a ride within five minutes as she had expected, Uber surprised Ms. Lima with a 19-minute wait and a pricey fare. It wasn’t a one-time glitch. Ms. Lima, a 28-year-old Miami resident, used to plan on spending $100 a month for frequent Uber trips. Just two recent rides ate through half of her monthly budget.

and more people return to traveling, socializing and using ride-hailing apps, they are discovering that those cheap and quick rides have become more costly and not so readily available. Customers around the country say they have been startled by the price jumps. In some cases, they say, their
