It originated from Japan and was brought to Brazil.

This martial art was adapted by the Brazilians then was popularized in the United States due to the Ultimate Fighting Championship Alpha Pharma.

Many people would think that martial arts are only fitted for kids or people with a will to fight.

Most of the time people go into a dojo or academy thinking that they would learn something and get revenge towards the person that did them wrong.

The meaning of Jiu-Jitsu is “The Gentle Art” basically using less force to submit a person to your own will.

It sounds like some Jedi mind trick but it is not.

Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art that gives your opponent a chance to give up or tap out without hurting them.

By this, it demonstrates mercy and humility towards an adversary because people don’t really know the stories behind their aggression.
