The whole reason I got Tidal was for Tidal Masters and MQA. The problem as my previous article shows is that MQA has been distorting even for offline tracks for the past 6 months. I get distorting for streaming — but I honestly don’t see why offline tracks distort or cause app crashes when playing back.

Over time, it can strain your relationships because they can’t depend on you to keep your word. They stop taking you seriously. On the other hand, when you agree to meet someone, and you’re there on time –a few minutes earlier is worth bonus points — that person will respect you.

After all the good combinations are used up and the saturation can’t get any higher, the trick will have to be crossing a line. Maybe they’ll even redefine ugly, just so they can trick our eyes into noticing them.

Note that around my house I listen everywhere on Sonos Speakers which are anyway limited to 24-bit, 48 KHz. The only place where I can listen to Tidal Masters is with my Hifi through my MQA DAC.

Growing up, I taught myself how to code in C by modding and building add-ons for Wolfenstein 3D. It became my entire world, and I would spend hours sifting through code, working out what made it tick, borrowing books from the library and following along to build my grasp of it all.

You would expect that atleast offline files will play fine. But as my article shows, even if you go above and beyond, Tidal is still a burning garbage fire at present. There is no support from Tidal as well, even for paying customers. This is very bad for what is effectively a very expensive per month service.

It took a while to learn the value of keeping time. Eventually, I got better at it. There’s a lot to be said about people who don’t keep time. It screams inefficiency, unreliability, and disorganization. A person who is always late doesn’t do a very good job of managing their responsibilities and their overall lives. Failing to keep time is terrible, but it’s worse when other people are involved. You see, when you’re consistently late for meetings, it shows you don’t respect others. Because you put your needs before them, steal their time, and disturb their experience.
