Rick Pitino didn't expect him to train again.

At least that's what he said. And with Pitino, that's all he can do. He was never convinced how genuine or prophetic those words were. Big details like what he really knew about the serious NCAA breach in Louisville that disrupted his career were complicated for Pitino.

Better example: After arriving at the NCAA tournament with Iona on Saturday, Pitino said he would end his career there. He also told reporters to stop calling him old: I'm 68, but my passion will be 48.

Does anyone think that Pitino will not respond if he calls a great school after this race?

It will probably happen. Pitino's coaching ability was unquestionable. This is one of the best ever. That is a good reason for Alabama's mild concerns. This is one of the best teams in Alabama, and the 1987 group overwhelmed Sweet 16 and lost to Pitino and Providence. 34 years later, Pitino is back to show that time is a flat circle and great people can be knocked down and hurt, but they lose what made them great.

Billy Donovan hasn't gone through that door, Pitino joked to ESPN on Sunday night, referring to the 1987 game and his former Providence sniper.

I'm ready he added. "We know what we are against. Sure we're going to play tough, but we're playing a great basketball team (in Alabama). I know. I am well trained

Iona probably won't beat Alabama, but Iona wasn't expected to win the MAAC tournament as the ninth seed on the field for 11 teams. The only reason the unmanned and distorted Gaels (the season was stopped four times by COVID-19) is dancing is as obvious as the dominant story of this week's Alabama game.

Pitino.

It may be Lazaro, but this is not a redemption story. It is recovery. When Pitino disappeared, I call it a former Louisville Courier Journal staff member. I thought I would never train in college again. No one wanted to touch him, either in college or in the NBA. I intended to train a professional ball in Greece for a while.

It was how miserable his end was in Louisville. I don't think this opportunity will ever happen again, Pitino wrote in a 2018 book. Louisville suddenly fired me, giving the impression that I must have sinned immediately.

suddenly Good

The winning coach can survive a big scandal. Will Wade was a spectator teaching Alabama LSU in Sunday's SEC tournament title game because his school supports him. Because Wade wins.

Wobble coaches are easily beaten. For example, Jeremy Pluit, a former Tennessee soccer coach.

Pitino was both. A common misconception is that other coaches were fired when they weren't fired for an FBI investigation into college basketball recruitment, including a list of Louisville and other adidas shoe companies and programs. Although it was Pitino's last straw, his shooting had many implications for previous NCAA violations, including a sex party between a new Louisville employee and a campus dorm player in 2013. I became a cardinal. The national championship year flag has been stripped off.

Athletic director Tom Julic supported Pitino during an embarrassing scandal. But then, in 2017, news arrived from the FBI, and Jülich and Pitino soon disappeared.

Pitino relentlessly claimed he was unaware of the actions of his former assistant coach, whether he hired a prostitute for the party or arranged payments in the FBI case. Some people really believe it. Pitino returned to Louisville to sign and speak the book in 2018, and about 400 fans from Louisville and rival Kentucky (another of Pitino's old team) bought tickets and praised him.
