Control flow is understanding how things are executed step by step and how it affects the structure. It will help you debug and understand any application quickly even if you did not write it.

My old, reliable workflow was not fit for purpose. I had over 105,000 images scattered over multiple disks, taking up 4 TB of storage. Searching through lists of images filed by date wasn’t going to get me anywhere fast.

Last but not least, always remember that it’s not only about how much knowledge you have or how great your execution skills as a developer are. My dear, sweet friend suggested that someday, once his wife had shuffled off her mortal coil, we should get married. He specifically asked me whether it was something I would consider, and I had the unenviable task of telling him that it was not.
