However, a fee of only Rs. 250 is charged annually for maintaining investors demat account. The minimum brokerage fee is customisable which makes it convenient for investors. Their trading services such as equity intraday, equity futures, commodity options, etc. comes at a very minimal fee as compared to other leading stock brokers in India. That is why LKP is often considered as the lowest brokerage and trading account in India.

Zerodha

Zerodha charges a one-time fee of Rs. 300 for opening an account and an annual fee of Rs. 300 as AMC. They impose a fee of 0.01% per trade in all National Stock Exchange (NSE) segments which is quite reasonable. 

Wisdom capital

With wisdom capital, you can open a trading account free of cost. They charge a demat account maintenance fee of Rs. 999. Their brokerage fee in all NSE segments is zero. Thus, Wisdom capital is the lowest brokerage trading account in terms of brokerage fee in NSE services.

Upstox 

For opening a demat account through Upstox, you have to pay Rs. 200 and an AMC of Rs. 150 per year will be levied. On every executed order, Rs. 20 is taken from investors in all NSE trading services.

SAS online

SAS offers online account opening at Rs. 200 and charges an AMC of the same amount every year. They charge only Rs. 9 per order in stock trading segments. This is one of the lowest brokerage trading accounts.

SAMCO

The trading account opening fee charged by SAMCO is zero. They impose Rs. 20 as a brokerage fee per completed order. Their annual account maintenance fee is Rs. 400.

Angel Broking demat and trading account

Angel broking levies a nominal transaction charge of Rs. 20 per executed order. They take a fee of Rs. 200 for account opening and an AMC of Rs. 300.

Sharekhan demat account

This brokerage firm charges Rs.750 for opening classic trading accounts and Rs. 1000 for trade tiger accounts. Their brokerage fee is 0.50% of the traded amount per executed order. They impose an AMC of Rs. 400 every year.

Kotak securities

Kotak securities charge Rs. 975 for opening demat account. For maintaining the account, you have to pay Rs. 500 annually. They levy 0.59% of the trading amount per order.

HDFC securities demat account

Annual maintenance fee of demat account is Rs. 750 in HDFC securities and they take a fee of Rs. 999 once for opening the account. 0.50% per order is their applicable fee in all NSE segments.

SBI cap securities demat account

They offer a trading account with a zero annual maintenance fee. The AMC for demat account is Rs. 400. They charge a nominal brokerage fee of Rs. 10 per transaction made.  Among the banks offering stockbroker services, SBI can be considered as the most reliable trading and demat account at a reasonable cost.

Aditya Birla money demat account

Their yearly demat account maintenance cost is Rs. 436 but no yearly AMC is levied on trading accounts. You can open a trading account in Aditya Birla money at Rs. 750. Their brokerage fee is around 0.03% in most NSE segments.

ICICI Direct demat and trading account

The brokerage fee varies in ICICI Direct. It is 0.75% for a trading amount of less than Rs. 25 lakh and 0.55% for trading above this margin.

Axis Direct demat account

Axis Direct offers a free demat account but levies a charge of Rs. 900 for opening trading accounts. No maintenance cost is required to be paid on trading account while Rs. 650 per annum is the AMC for their demat account.
