LOKI series 2021
Devised by Stan Lee, what some may not know is that this god had two starts on the pages of the publisher: one in no less than 1949, when a "first Loki" appeared in number 6 of Venus, a comic based on the goddess of the same name, in which Loki was one of the gods who were exiled in the underworld.

Loki was found as a child, hidden in a fortress of the Frost Giants, after a battle and adopted by the king of Asgard, Odin, who raised him as a son alongside his own biological, Thor. Although he may not seem like it by stature - it was in fact the reason why he was being held in a fortress, to the shame of his father, Laufey, King of the Frost Giants - this character possesses many of the physical attributes equivalent to members of their race, such as enhanced strength, great stamina, speed, and immunity to all known diseases and toxins, as well as aging. He also has a great knowledge of magical forces, which together with his great intelligence, give him a great capacity for spells.
After giving more than a lurch between good and evil (especially in the latter), the last time we saw and heard about the character was in Avengers: Endgame , where after getting the Space Gem by chance, he decides use it and take advantage of it to flee.
That left a great doubt in the air about his whereabouts ( where has Loki gone? ) That has only multiplied after learning of the existence of a TV series in which he is the protagonist. At what point in history will we see it? Will we return to enjoy his good side or his supervillain profile?
There is still no official synopsis for Loki on the Marvel website , so we can only grasp what has been seen in his first trailer and some confirmations made by those responsible for the series. As for example that the series will be "a new game", pointed out Tom Hiddleston, in charge of giving life to the character, in an interview for quite some time. He also revealed that we will see an evil Loki, similar to the one seen in the first Avengers movie, 2012.
We also know that events will take place "after" what happened in Avengers: Endgame - it is a manner of speaking, since he disappeared during an avengers time trip - so that we will find out exactly where Loki went and what he has been doing. since then. That does not mean that he follows the timeline that we knew, of course - he remembers that he died at the hands of Thanos -: since the Gem he stole allows him to move through the multiverses, we can see him in other totally unexpected scenarios and, according to an image leaked online , one of them could be somewhere on our planet in 1975.
As for the chapters, it will be for the moment a miniseries that will consist of a total of 6 episodes , of unknown duration at the moment.
The proposal should connect directly with the sequel to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness , whose premiere is currently scheduled for 2022, after a couple of schedule changes due to the coronavirus.
Cast of the series
The cast of the series at the moment is mostly unknown. We know that Tom Hiddleston -below these lines-, of course, will bring the protagonist back to life, Thor's evil stepbrother, but we know practically nothing about the rest of the cast, apart from the fact that we will have the participation of Sophia Di Martino and Gugu Mbatha -Raw ( Black Mirror: San Junipero ) in roles that have not yet been revealed. We will also see Owen Wilson, who will act as agent for the TVA, the Temporary Variation Authority.

Michael Waldron (responsible for none other than Rick and Morty ) is the showrunner, script director and executive producer of the series, while Kate Herron ( The perfect human , Love Story ) will be in charge of the direction.

After many months of waiting and some very (very) brief first images shown in an ad during the last SuperBowl of 2020 -it also featured scenes from Wandavision and Falcon and Winter Soldier- , Disney has finally us unveiled a first serial trailer. The trailer has been a real success, surprising the most skeptical and conquering even more the fans who are looking forward to this series.
The trailer shows a tremendously entertaining, funny series, with Hiddleston in top form and in which there will be no shortage of scenes of all kinds. Be careful because you can even see your back to what many believe is Black Widow, although we fear that to confirm this we will have to wait for its premiere.

When is Loki released ?
It turns out that Loki was scheduled to launch in early 2021 but with the whole issue of the pandemic, many doubted when we would finally see the series on the platform. In fact, although its filming had already begun in the summer of 2020, COVID-19 forced everything to stop, leaving its premiere completely on the air.
After learning that Wandavision was delayed a month, we feared the worst, however, Disney has already reassured us all with a more hopeful date: it will be in May 2021 when we can enjoy it. We still do not have a specific day on the calendar but at least it is an important piece of information. Less is left.

Loki, es el príncipe de Asgard, hijo de Odín, legítimo rey de Jötunheim y Dios de las mentiras. El hermanastro de Thor. No es un personaje más dentro del universo de Marvel ya que está considerado por muchos como uno de mejores villanos del mundo del cómic. Ideado por Stan Lee, este Dios tuvo dos comienzos en la editorial.
El primero en 1949, cuando apareció en el número 6 de “Venus”, cómic basado en la diosa del mismo nombre, y estaba exiliado en el inframundo. La serie narrará las aventuras del dios del engaño posteriores a su escape con el Teseracto en “Avengers: Endgame”, y mientras es detenido por organización llamada TVA (Time Variation Authority). Esta agencia es la clave de todo. Ellos supuestamente son los encargados de mantener el orden en el tiempo y el espacio y reparar los daños ocasionados por personas como el hijo de Odín y es a partir de entonces que nadie sabe qué esperar. Se supone que Loki se enfrentará a varios miembros de la agencia
Pero ¿Qué pasó con el hermano de Thor después de “Endgame”? Con “Infinity War” los fans creyeron que Loki había desaparecido para siempre, pero gracias a los viajes en el tiempo de la última cinta de los Vengadores, el personaje favorito del MCU volvió. Así, se pudo que cuando Loki es arrestado en Nueva York por intentar hacerse con el planeta, cae a sus pies el Teseracto (cubo cósmico que contiene la Gema del Espacio) y gracias a ello escapa. Sus aventuras posteriores será lo que retratará la serie.
Por lo que se pudo ver en el tráiler ya adelantado, es evidente que el dios nórdico viajará hacia otra realidad en la que le esperan distintos desafíos. Sin embargo, Tom Hiddleston, el actor que da vida a Loki, reveló que las situaciones del pasado seguirán al villano durante su nueva aventura. Veremos, entonces, si es capaz de ingeniárselas para regresar a la línea temporal en la murió salvando a Thor en “Infinity War”.
El encuentro de Loki con Mobius M. Mobius, el personaje interpretado por Owen Wilson da a entender que la TVA ya tenía en la mira al Dios del Engaño puesto que él da una introducción al villano sobre el lugar en el que se encuentra y por lo que dice sabemos que está familiarizado con el actuar de Loki ya que sabe que le gusta hablar de más. Mientras está arrestado lleva un collar en el cuello que aparentemente le inhibe sus poderes, pero no sabe si tiene algún otro efecto que no sea el de evitar que escape.
Otras escenas sugieren que logra salir de allí, ya sea porque se lo permitieron o porque realmente escapó, y mientras todavía tenga el Teseracto, puede abrir portales a cualquier dimensión, dándole la libertad de ir a donde quiera. Se entiende que lo que permitirá que Loki recorra diferentes momentos en la historia depende de este objeto y que sin él no podría hacerlo.
SPOILERS. Por otra parte, la serie “Loki” tendrá una conexión con “WandaVision”. Como se pudo ver en el Episodio 7 de la ficción de Disney Plus centrada en Bruja Escarlata y Vision, en la última de las publicidades del programa, el antidepresivo se llama «Nexus», nombre que no pudo pasar desapercibido dado que en los comics se conocen como Seres Nexus, aquellos que traspasan las fronteras de realidades y temporalidades.
Todo lo que indicaría estar haciendo Wanda Maximoff. Mientras que Loki, al huir con el teseracto y generar que tanto Tony Stark, como Capitán América, deban viajar aún más al pasado para obtener la Gema, circulará en la frontera entre el tiempo y las realidades por lo que será perseguido por la TVA. Nada de esto parece ser una coincidencia.
El reparto de “Loki” está conformado por Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant, Gugu Mbatha-Raw y Wunmi Mosaku Wunmi Mosaku, Owen Wilson y Erika Coleman, entre otros. Michael Waldron es el showrunner y guionista de la serie, mientras que al frente de la producción ejecutiva está Kevin Feige, el director de Marvel Studios. Junto a él, Michael Waldron, Stephen Broussard y Kate Herron.
Lo que es aún una incógnita es lo que hará Loki y cómo afectará a la historia de la humanidad, como también qué otros personajes aparecerán en la serie. Aunque desde Disney Plus también confirmaron que “Loki” estará directamente relacionada con “Thor: Love and Thunder”, que a su vez contará con la presencia de los personajes de Guardianes de la Galaxia.
Se especula con un cameo de Chris Evans como Capitán América, ya que él viajó en el tiempo para devolver las gemas a los lugares de donde las habían robado, por lo que podría volver a encontrarse con Loki en algún momento.
Tras un 2020 que quedó vacante de estrenos de Marvel dada la situación epidemiológica que afrontó el mundo con la pandemia, y con ello el cierre de múltiples salas de cine, este año promete ser verdaderamente significativo en cuanto a su contenido.
