State of emergency for cities in Israel after rioting
Israel declared a state of emergency in the center of Lod after riots from Arab Israeli citizens, amid the escalating conflict between Israeli forces and Palestinian groups.
A number of cars caught fire and a father and son - both Arab Israelis - were killed when a rocket fired from Gaza hit their car.
Palestinian groups continue to fire rockets into Israeli territory. Instead, Israel launched large-scale air strikes on Gaza.
As of Wednesday (12/05) afternoon, at least 40 people had died as a result of the worst crisis in the Middle East in recent years.
Bloody violence in the Middle East continued as Israeli militaries and Palestinian groups were still firing rounds of ammunition in the early hours of Wednesday (12/05), while UN special envoy Tor Wennesland warned the two warring parties that they were heading for a "full-scale war".
Palestinian militants previously said they had fired 130 missiles at the Israeli city of Tel Aviv, Tuesday (11/05) local time, not long after Israeli warplanes destroyed an apartment in Gaza.
The 13-story building was attacked by Israel an hour and a half after residents and residents around it were diultured to evacuate, according to the Reuters news agency.
The fighting that is now happening is the worst in recent years and continues to claim lives.
At least 35 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, as well as five in Israel, were killed, the AFP news agency said.

"The impact of the war in Gaza is devastating and is being paid dearly by ordinary citizens. The United Nations is working with all parties to restore calm. Stop the violence now," continued Wennesland as reported by Reuters.
Hamas, the group that controls Gaza, said their actions were a defense of Israel's "aggression and terrorism".

Hamas, for one, refers to clashes between Palestinian civilians and Israeli police at the al-Aqsa mosque that left hundreds of people injured.
But the rocket fire on Tel Aviv, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was an act that crossed the line.
He called it the first rocket fire on Jerusalem in recent years.
The recent retaliation for violence in Jerusalem is the worst since 2017.

How is the current condition?
Video footage shows rockets streaking across Tel Aviv's sky last night. Moments later, the rocket exploded because it was hit by an Israeli interceptor missile.
One of the rocket victims, Israeli officials claim, was a 50-year-old woman in the Rishon LeZion area, near Tel Aviv.
In the Tel Aviv suburb of Holon, a rocket hit an empty bus, Israeli police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld told the AFP news agency.
In Tel Aviv, a group of pedestrians took cover and other local residents exited a restaurant to prone on the sidewalk as sirens sounded.
The airport in Tel Aviv, Ben Gurion, had stopped operating due to a Hamas rocket attack. Another impact, the energy pipeline between the cities of Eilat and Ashkelon was damaged.
