He was speaking at the inaugural function of 'Community Vision Centers' at 70 Upazila Health Complexes in 20 districts under five divisions on Thursday (March 11).

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said the government is working to ensure the basic rights of the people of the country including education and medical treatment. We set up community clinics to deliver services to the doorsteps of the people of the country. They were later ignored. However, after coming to power in 2008, we started reaching out to grassroots people again through community clinics.
He said the government was working to reduce the rate of birth blindness by treating maternity mothers and raising awareness. Due to this the birth rate among children has decreased. We want the people of the country to have good health. We are working to ensure eye care for the common man in every upazila of Bangladesh by setting up ‘Community Vision Centers’. Arvind Hospital in India is assisting in this work.
He further said that the people of the country will live well. No man will be homeless and landless. I am working to build houses for the poor people including the people who have broken the river.
The Prime Minister said people are getting the benefits of digital Bangladesh. We hope that we will be able to realize the dream of the father of the nation. We can walk with dignity without getting a hand from anyone.
Direct train service from Dhaka to New Jalpaiguri will be launched on March 26. Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujon said the naming of the train has not been finalized yet. "If the train that will leave Dhaka for New Jalpaiguri on March 26, the golden jubilee of our independence, is an Indian train, it will come to us first," he said. We will arrange it and inaugurate it on the 26th. The Indian authorities, some of our railway officials and if there is a person with a valid visa, a businessman, they can also take this train. However, the train will not return for the time being. Because, due to Corona, Indian visa is closed, we have two more trains (Maitri and Bandhan) closed. So for now the new train will be inaugurated on March 26. It will run regularly after the introduction of visas, the railway minister said.
