15 skills we expect from IT professionals

Much is said about behavioral skills or Soft Skills, and this has been a determining factor in the assessment or when hiring professionals.

According to the World Economic Forum's study The Future of Jobs, within five years, more than a third of the skills needed today will have already changed.

But then, how to stay updated and relevant in the market? The first step is, without a doubt, to create a commitment to continuous learning.

But what behavioral traits should you have on the radar to become a sought after IT professional in the future? Below, we list 15 of them.

In order for us to serve our internal and external customers well, we IT professionals need 15 skills in our life and curriculum. Let's go to them:

Leadership: Develop the intrinsic ability to influence others, so that you will be able to have good leadership. Do not wait to be promoted to a management position to assume the leadership position.

Trust: When you prepare diligently and have the information collected properly, your way of transmitting will make a difference. Be safe when speaking and, therefore, your information will be reliable.

Vision: Looking beyond your own routine and being able to suggest improvements in the processes in your area and others, understanding the impact on the company's results.

Evaluations: your career is in your hands, so take all feedback and performance evaluations you receive throughout your professional life seriously. Receive each suggestion or criticism as an opportunity for improvement.

Experience: technical knowledge is important especially for those who lead a team, but going through challenges and opportunities will bring experience. The famous practical know-how that nobody gets overnight.

Networking: A network of contacts is a great source of information and knowledge, do not forget to do your part in this exchange and pass on relevant information that does not hurt ethics.

Dedication: This does not mean living in the company, but every manager can see when an employee is dedicated to what he does. If your deliveries have quality, your interest in writing down ideas, sharing experiences and projects that can make a difference in the company's routine.

Development: Don't stop studying, knowledge is always important. When you clearly set your career goals, see if you have put preparation as part of your development plan.

Character: I left that point last, because nothing we talked about above makes sense without having consistency in our deliveries. It is not enough to promise, it is necessary to deliver.
