Charlotte Bennett, one of the women who accused New York Governor Andrew Cuomo of sexual harassment, on Thursday detailed several cases where the governor allegedly made inappropriate comments, including asking her if her experience with assault had no impact on her sex life. Cuomo allegedly told Bennett that he was comfortable dating a 22-year-old boy and was looking for a girlfriend, and asked her about her sex.

Bennett, who was the governor's executive assistant and health policy adviser, told anchor and managing editor of "CBS Evening News" Norah O'Donnell that during a one-on-one meeting at 5 p.m. June 2020, Cuomo asked several questions that led to it. to the conclusion that "The governor tries to sleep with me."

“He asked if I had any problems enjoying having someone because of my trauma,” she said.

"The governor asked me if I was sensitive to intimacy," she said, adding, "He asked if it makes it hard to really be with anyone physically."

Bennett, 25, said Cuomo, 63, also asked her if she had ever been intimate with an older man and said he was comfortable dating women decades younger than him.

“He also explained that he was good with anyone over the age of 22,” she said.

Cuomo mentioned he wanted a girlfriend and was lonely, Bennett said.

Messages sent by Bennett to a friend and reviewed by CBS News commemorate her meeting with Cuomo immediately after the alleged conversation. In messages, Bennett told a friend that Cuomo "talked about age differences in relationships."

Her friend, who checked the messages, asked, "Wait what," and "Do something."

Bennett said she feels compelled to answer intimate questions from her boss because of his power as governor. She believes his position made him feel "like he was untouchable in many ways."

“I was really uncomfortable and I understood that my boss was asking these questions, so I was trying to answer them,” she said. "I feel like people put the burden on the woman to close that conversation. And by answering, somehow I was getting into that or allowing it, when in fact, I was just terrified."
