Before you set out to shop for any, here are a few buying suggestions to help you out. 

Shop from a Dealer

Find a trusted RV dealer. Go back to where you bought your rig. Do they carry RV spare parts? Are there enough options, or is the selection too limited? If you don’t find the parts you need, no worries. You can still reach out to them and ask for buying tips and advice, especially on where to go for replacement parts. With their advice, you’ll have a pretty good idea of where to start looking. 

Wait for Sales

There are plenty of replacement parts that you know will be worn in a few months or years. Sooner or later, you’ll need to toss them over for new ones. The great thing about these parts, though, is that you can shop for them way in advance. That means you can wait for sales promos and periods. Check out those offers once they come out with an eye towards stocking up on the supplies and parts that you need. That way, when the parts in your RV fail, you won’t need to go long without your RV. There are plenty of affordable options out there. But it’s ideal to check if they also offer excellent value before you pick those choices. That’s the best way to save on costs. Get options that give you the best value for your money. Learn to look beyond the cost of the parts. For instance, a high price tag isn’t a guarantee that the part is the best one out there. Careful research will help you determine that instead. 

Look at the Return Policy 

Mistakes happen. If the shop sends you the wrong item, process the return as soon as you can. Knowing the return policy in advance saves you time here as you can immediately start the return process. This is ideal, especially if you’re dealing with shops that have a strict return policy. Some only even have a 24-hour window on returns.
