Tiger Woods plays host to this year’s Genesis Invitational, but will not feature in the competition. But world No. 1 Dustin Johnson returns after last week’s absence looking to add another win to his resume. He comes in as a 6-1 favorite to win, according to CBS Sports. Johnson will be up against some tough competition with 9 of the top 10 golfers competing in the Invitational this year, including last year’s winner, 23rd ranked Adam Scott.

Johnson has been putting on out-of-this-world performances since last summer, but sat out last week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in order to rest and prepared for the Genesis Invitational.

“This is a big tournament, it always is,” Johnson told Golfweek. “It’s always got a great field, it’s at a great venue. It’s just a really good golf course. It plays tough always, especially with the conditions this year, it’s firm and fast. And it looks like we’ve got good weather for this week so it’s going to continue to get firmer and faster.”

Another person to watch this week will be Jordan Spieth, who finished -15 and tied for third at last week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Spieth has 33-1 odds to win the Genesis Invitational, according to CBS Sports.
