As we can see, the highest number of users are likely to use React and Vue again rather than Angular. Also, the number of users who voted “I’ve used it before, and would NOT use it again” is higher for Angular than the other two. This means Angular is losing its users rapidly.

The NPM trends graph above shows us the number of downloads of each framework overs a period of time. The screenshot shows the stats over the past six months, and we can see that React clearly holds the lead with almost 9 million downloads. Vue and Angular are in a tight contest for second place.

The challenges of my grief and that of my friends in the aftermath of Pat’s death, a time when we hung on each other like every bone was broken, made it doubly hard to watch Cindy blow up so many of her close relationships for an unnecessary lie.

Pat died in June 2015, just days before his 35th birthday, and the unstoppable tragedy forced some of us into rueful reflection about how things could have been different, and many more of us into therapy. Five years later, I’m still not sure how to react.

Life’s basics became luxuries, more expensive by the year, instead of necessities — right down to the most basic of things human beings live for at all. But that is the exact opposite of what happened elsewhere in the world. Not iPhones and Facebook. But the fundamentals of a decent life. Retirement, healthcare, education, income, savings, safety, stability, marriage, families, trust itself. All these things are simply now unaffordable for the average American. And worse, they are skyrocking in price every year. 66% of Americans choose between food and healthcare. Do you see what I mean?

There was something so fundamentally sound and well-adjusted about the unquestioning generosity of those who rallied around Cindy, and about the groundswell of financial and emotional support she received even from people who appeared to be short on both. I knew how awful it was to learn that you can’t save someone, and how extraordinary it was to watch people try. Cindy’s friends were stung, and badly, but would hopefully shake off their distrust and continue to take care of those closest to them.

Throughout the article, I talked about the drawbacks of Angular and the positive side of other frameworks. But there is just one thing we must not forget: Angular has been there for a long time and is well established. Organizations will continue to use it in 2021, so you will be able to use your knowledge of Angular in future projects as well.

On the other hand, frameworks like React and Vue are taking over and new trends seem to be in their favor. This means that learning these other frameworks will be a great push for your career.

The 2019 State of JavaScript includes another report generation platform on JavaScript, and you can find various kinds of comparisons there. The figure below shows the responses of the users, whether they will use it again or not, whether they have heard of the technology, etc.

These stats again emphasize Angular’s loss of users. Angular only has 67,000 stars, while both Vue and React are well ahead with 158,000 and 175,000 stars in their GitHub repos.

it can sometimes behave like the stream is not “flowing through the pipes” very well, but it does not stutter and distort in the horrible way which Tidal does. It has yet to crash during playback like Tidal does. And… now that most of my songs (all 99 GB of it) is available offline, I find no problems playing back any music at all. It is super pristine and smooth for offline files which is the way it should be.

And yet, once I realized Cindy had been lying, all of the compassion I had been cautiously withholding came flooding in — even more for her than for those who had been victimized.
