Leading Verstappen in FP3 GP Bahrain

Max Verstappen confirmed his dominance in the 2021 Bahrain Grand Prix Formula 1 free practice session. The Red Bull Racing driver regained control of Free Practice 3.

At the Bahrain International Circuit, Saturday (27/3/2021), Verstappen was the fastest with a record time of 1 minute 30.577 seconds. Previously, he was also the best in the first and second free practice sessions on Friday (26/3) yesterday.

Defending F1 champion Lewis Hamilton trailed in second. This Mercedes racer lost 0.739 seconds from Verstappen. AlphaTauri's Pierre Gasly followed in third with 1 minute 31.583 seconds.
Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) is fourth with a record time of 1 minute 31.855 seconds. Behind him, there is Sergio Perez (Red Bull Racing) with a time of 1 minute 31.908 seconds.

Carlos Sainz (Ferrari), Kimi Raikkonen (Alfa Romeo), Esteban Ocon (Alpine), Lance Stroll (Aston Martin), and Daniel Ricciardo (McLaren) respectively completed the top ten positions.

Sebastian Vettel still didn't appear convincing until FP3. The Aston Martin driver is only in 14th place with a time of 1 minute 32.755 seconds. Another senior racer, namely Fernando Alonso (Alpine), is one level below Vettel with 1 minute 32.820 seconds.
'If Verstappen were at Mercedes too, Hamilton would have lost'
 Max Verstappen lost to Lewis Hamilton in the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix in 2021. However, the Dutch driver is believed to have won if he drove the same car as Hamilton.
At the Bahrain International Circuit, last Sunday (28/3), Verstappen, who drove a Red Bull-Honda, only finished 0.745 seconds behind Hamilton, who drove a Mercedes.

Imola - Lewis Hamilton will start in pole position in the F1 GP Emilia Romagna 2021. The seven-time world champion beat Red Bull Racing duo Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen.

Verstappen, the fastest rider in the third free practice session, will start on the third grid after clocking in 1 minute 14.498 seconds
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc is fourth with a time of 1 minute 14.740 seconds. Pierre Gasly (Alphatauri) followed in fifth with 1 minute 14.790 seconds. Daniel Ricciardo (McLaren) will start on the sixth grid after scoring 1 minute 14.826 seconds.

Lando Norris (McLaren) ranks seventh with 1 minute 14.875 seconds. Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas, who was the fastest racer in the two free training sessions, will only start from eighth position, after recording a time of 1 minute 14.898 seconds.

Sebastian Vettel failed to break through to the third qualifier, and will start from 13th position. Fernando Alonso will occupy the grid 15th, while Kimi Raikkonen in 16th position, and Mick Schumacher in 18th position.

Hamilton is satisfied with this result. He is delighted to beat the Red Bull duo in qualifying, and predicts that tomorrow's race will be fierce.

"I like it, I like the challenge! We will face the Red Bull duo there, I think this will make the race strategy difficult, because they have a great pace," Hamilton said after qualifying, quoted by the official F1 website.

The first pole in F1 2021 belongs to Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen. The young Dutchman defeated the duo Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas.
At the Bahrain Grand Prix F1 qualifying session in 2021 which was held at the Sakhir circuit, Sunday (27/3/2021) evening WIB, Verstappen was able to beat Bottas' time record when he first played in Q3.

Bottas tries to improve his time record in the final minutes of qualifying, but it is his effort. In the end, Verstappen was able to grab pole with a time of 1 minute 28.997 seconds.
He beat Bottas who won 1 minute 29.586 seconds in third and also world champion Hamilton who was trying to catch his time, by 1 minute 29.385 seconds.

Completing the top five of this season's inaugural qualification was Ferrari racer Charles Leclerc who was able to beat Pierre Gasly from Scuderia Alpha Tauri Honda in fifth.

Daniel Ricciardo, Lando Norris, Carlos Sainz, Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll are in sixth to tenth positions. Sebastian Vettel, who made his debut at Aston Martin, only started from 18th position, as did F2 world champion Mick Schumacher who joined Haas F1 only starting in 19th position.
