Suga BTS Still Struggling to Recover His Shoulder

BTS member, Suga, is still struggling to recover his shoulder after surgery in November 2020. Suga's shoulder problems originated from the incident five years ago.

Due to the dislocation of his shoulder blade, Suga was unable to perform with BTS in several shows to promote BE's album . Given Suga's limited ability to move his shoulders, BTS was forced to appear only six of them.

Fans could only see Suga (Min Yoon-gi) in holographic form when BTS performed at the Melon Music Awards in December 2020. The same thing happened at the Gayo Daejon Festival from SBS TV stations and The Disney Holiday Singalong .

"One, it hurts. When the pain increases, I can't even lift my arm," Suga told WeVerse magazine .

Suga feels sad about his current condition. Moreover, when he saw that there was a vacancy on the stage due to his absence.

"Not because I wasn't there, but because something was supposed to be there but was missing," said the 27-year-old singer.

According to Suga, it will take several more months for him to recover. He admitted trying to recover faster.

"Once the shoulder brace has been removed, I am sure my condition is better," said Suga.

After Big Hit Entertainment announced that Suga BTS was on temporary leave from the entertainment world because of the shoulder surgery he underwent, now the rapper is greeting fans. Soompi reported , Friday (7/11/2020), he greeted his fans via the Weverse platform.

Suga BTS said he received a lot of attention from fans after news of his operation was revealed by the agency. "After the announcement, many people were worried so I feel guilty and very grateful," wrote the singer of "Mic Drop" at the beginning of his upload.

He also shared his current condition. "Thankfully, the operation went well. My current condition, I often feel pain but was very relieved," wrote Suga BTS. 

This man from Daegu admitted that he actually had objections to undergoing surgery. 

" Because my job is performing, I try to avoid surgery as much as possible and endure it with rehabilitation and injections. But then I got scared because (the pain) got worse every time I performed ," said Suga. 

However, after consulting many experts, he then volunteered to enter the operating room.

"So after three out of four hospitals said that it was better to do surgery considering my condition, I finally got it under way .. (I really thought about it many times ..!), " He said.

Suga realizes that the surgery decision has forced him to temporarily withdraw from activities with BTS, and makes him not meet Army, his group's fans. Moreover, on November 20 the group will comeback with new material. 

He then apologized to fans. At the end of his statement he wrote, "I really regret it too ... I will go for a while so I can recover as soon as possible, but I'll be back soon. It won't be too long! Once again, sorry and thank you, ARMY!"

Previously, Big Hit Entertainment had explained that Suga had suffered from this shoulder injury for a long time. Initially it was an injury due to an accident that occurred in 2012 before he debuted. A year later, Suga suffered a sprain in the same body part.

The "Daechwita" singer continues to experience pain in her shoulder, until in 2019 Suga received a diagnosis of tearing of the posterior labral in her left shoulder. 

Big Hit explained, "This meant that the cartilage in his shoulder joint was torn. Since then, he has continued to receive a number of treatments to prevent this injury from affecting his activities."
