tennis player Naomi Osaka opens voice about anti-Asian racism

Japan's top tennis player Naomi Osaka has spoken out on her Twitter account against crimes of racism against Asian people in the United States amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

"If people like Asian people as much as they like bubble tea, anime, mochi, sushi, matcha, etc ..." wrote Osaka.

Osaka, has a Haitian father and a Japanese mother, and has lived in the United States since she was three years old.

"Imagine taking advantage / enjoying things that come from a culture and then attacking / eliminating the ethnicity that created them," the 23-year-old continued her tweet.
The first case of Corona virus infection was reported in Wuhan, central China, at the end of 2019.

The UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres on Monday earlier this week, said he was "deeply concerned" about the escalating violence against Asians and people of Asian descent since the pandemic began.

The remarks followed the shooting in Atlanta on March 16 by the suspected white male, in which six of the eight murder victims were women of Asian descent.
"It's sad that this even has to become a hashtag / slogan," wrote Osaka on her Instagram referring to #stopasianhate. "It should make sense but it looks like common sense isn't common in this world today."

During last summer's US Open, which Osaka won for the second time, at each round, Osaka wore a mask bearing the names of victims of police brutality in the United States to support Black Lives Matter and the fight against racism.

World No.1 Women's tennis player ready to spend the rest of 2021 season away from home
World number one Ash Barty said she was unlikely to return to her country Australia until the end of the 2021 season due to quarantine requirements to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Barty, speaking after she advanced to the last 16 at the Miami Open with a 6-3 6-2 win over Jelena Ostapenko, said the time needed for quarantine at the end of the trip to Australia would be too time-consuming.

"Obviously with the quarantine laws in Australia, we did quarantine for two weeks at the hotel, and there really isn't much room this season to be able to do that just to come home for two weeks," Barty was quoted as saying by Reuters on Sunday.
"So at this stage we plan to go until after the US Open and potentially until the end of the season."
While Barty is no stranger to long periods away from home, he admits it will take some getting used to if the entire season runs through November.

"Without a doubt, it is something new for me, new to try and understand where we are going for a long time," said Barty, who is the defending Miami Open champion, after last year's event was canceled due to the pandemic.

"Of course there were tears in the days to come. There were tears when I finally left, then we left. Then we got delayed and had to go again. It all happened."

The Limit Trek Controversy That Wins Hamilton at the F1 Bahrain GP 2021

Mercedes racer Lewis Hamilton did not deny that he was lucky to win in Formula 1 (F1) Bahrain Grand Prix in 2021. Without track limit regulations, he would most likely only finish runner-up.

Hamilton successfully finished in front after Max Verstappen from Red Bull Racing received a penalty after overtaking the defending champion at corner four.
Verstappen was sentenced to return the pole position to Hamilton because he was deemed to have crossed the limits of the Bahrain International Circuit during an overtake.

With three laps remaining, Verstappen was finally unable to overtake Lewis Hamilton and finished 0.7 seconds slower than his rivals.
After the race, Hamilton admitted that he was confused by the regulations applied in the F1 2021 opening series. The reason is, at the start of the race none of the land jet pilots were punished for crossing the track limit, including himself.

"I think this is very confusing," said Lewis Hamilton regarding the controversy over the track limit regulations which he considered inconsistent throughout the race, as quoted by Fox Sports, Monday (29/3/2021).

"In the middle of the race, they basically changed their mind. And suddenly you're not allowed to get off the white line… And in the end that means Max can't overtake off the track."
Lewis Hamilton and his colleague, Valtteri Bottas, were known to have crossed the track limit when they turned around the fourth corner almost in the middle of the race, to be precise until lap 29.

This became the basis for Max Verstappen to also cross the track limit when overtaking Lewis Hamilton before the end of the race, which in fact was bad for Red Bull Racing.
"Both Lewis and Valtteri [Bottas] used the exit at turn four, so please do the same until we are ordered not to," Max said.
