The child’s emotional outburst baffled the genius. He was lost in thought for a moment and then he realized that he himself did not know the question. He scratched his head and thought some more. What could the question be?

Well, the father (obviously GPT-3 itself — note how he is described as a “genius”) appears to admit that he doesn’t know the question either, at least not right off the bat. He has to “think some more”.

So he answered: “The answer is 42 and the question is what I meant when I said now you know but you’re too young to understand. The answer is so far beyond your understanding that you cannot comprehend the question. And that, my child, is the answer to life, the Universe and everything.

Weeks turned to months, months turned to years, but still the father didn’t know the question. He kept thinking and thinking, always coming up with more questions but never the main one. He never saw his son again. He had no regrets for he knew he was the smartest man to have ever lived.

Time Series data is a sequence of data points listed in time order. It is a set of observations at specified times and equal intervals. Time series data is pretty common in our day to day lives, and some common examples include:

Abhinav bought a tractor to till the land. When the tractor was delivered, a puja was performed on the vehicle in typical Hindu fashion. After all, tools, instruments and vehicles are treated as sacred objects by traditional Hindus.

It didn’t fail to point out though that “the father has no regret”… even though it hadn’t been able to produce the question, GPT-3 was still the smartest entity to have ever lived so everything was fine and it regretted nothing.

Among the many people who wrote in response to my article on Abhinav in January was Ryan F Beylikjian, an ex-coastguard who was studying Regenerative Organic Agriculture at the Maharishi International University Fairfield, Iowa. He wished to spend three months at the Gaushala and complete one of the practical components of his course. Abhinav informed him that he did not have facilities for lodging. But for Ryan with his mobile trailer, that was no problem. He drove from Ohio right to the Gaushala and began to live in a tent on the estate with an additional room in the barn to keep his belongings. The Goswami family generously shared meals with him and let him use their facilities at home for a month before other arrangements could be made.
