On Monday morning, a treacherous and icy road was cut across much of the United States as a result of a severe storm.
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt has stepped up the National Guard to keep people safe as temperatures in Oklahoma City are expected to drop to an all-time low for more than 100 years.
The weather system is shifting to the Midwest and Northeast, causing major road problems. A state of emergency has been declared in Texas for the first time in nearly six years, with some areas experiencing the coldest weather in decades.
Oklahoma City snowed for 12 hours on Sunday. The cold weather of the last day and the wind, accompanied by wind, make the outside feel cold from 20 to 30 degrees, reports CBS News Mirea Villarreal.

"Every time you take that key and start it, you take your life into your own hands and you take over the life of the community," Marcinko said.
The same storm left at least 200,000 people without electricity over the weekend. Two days of snow have been plentiful in Seattle for almost 40 years, and some residents have dug themselves out of more than a foot of snow.
The United States Coat Guard says 16 people are missing from two separate boats off the coast of Florida. Officials say 10 people are missing near Kay West and six others are missing off the coast of Fort Pierce.
