Novak Djokovic: 2015 has been the best year of my life

Sunday's 6-2 6-4 Paris Masters final win over Andy Murray was the latest triumph in a stunning season for Djokovic as he secured his 10th title this year -- a collection that includes three grand slams and six Masters 1000 series crowns.

The world No. 1's victory in France also extended Djokovic's winning streak to 22 straight matches, with his last loss coming on August 23 to Roger Federer in the Cincinnati Masters final.

'I've had a phenomenal week once again, I've continued with some incredible achievements this year,' the 28-year-old Djokovic told CNN Sport's Patrick Snell.

Looking ahead

Djokovic is the first men's player to win more than $16 million in prize money during a single season, while he is the first to have reached 14 straight finals in a calendar year.

Djokovic, who has lost only five matches in 2015, can also now call himself the first player to win three grand slam titles and six Masters 1000 series titles in the same year, while he has joined Rod Laver and Federer in being the only men in the Open era to play in all four grand slam finals in a single year.

And the worrying thing for his rivals is that Djokovic has no intention of resting on his laurels.

'The possibilities are limitless,' added the Serb. 'I don't want to know what the limits are. I just want to keep going and keep riding on this wave and using all this experience on the court as a great incentive for the future.

'As a 28-year-old I feel I have many years ahead of me, so let's see how far I can go.'

Already guaranteed to finish up as world No. 1 for the fourth time in five years, Djokovic will be hoping to round off the year in style at the ATP World Tour Finals in London later this month, where he can earn another $2.28 million if he goes through the week undefeated.

With over $89 million in career prize money, he is closing on Federer's all-time record of $95.2m.

The Serbian has emerged triumphant at the last three editions of the tennis season's curtain-closer and he is hoping his fine form can help bring home one more title before the year is out.

'I couldn't be more happier with how I've played and now hopefully I can end the season as well as I did here in Paris in London for the Tour Finals,' Djokovic said.

'I always look forward to competing especially when I've had the year I've had so far. I look forward to London and hopefully I can finish off the year in a successful way.'
