The teen's older brother, Ahsan Kabir, told the BBC that his brother had been abducted on May 2, 2020 by unknown individuals. After three days of torture, he was handed over to the RAB on May 5. Since they do not know who abducted him on May 2 and who tortured him for the next three days, they have filed a case against unknown individuals.

Description of the horrific torture:
After his release from jail on March 4, Kishore gave a horrific account of his torture to a local newspaper in Dhaka.

He told the Daily Star how he was taken out of the house without a warrant or identity card and how he was tortured in a secret prison. He was then remanded in custody for 10 months without bail.

As a result of this torture, his eardrums were torn. He also showed signs of severe injuries to his body to a Daily Star reporter.

He was arrested on the morning of May 5, according to a report in The Daily Star. This meant that he was illegally detained for at least 60 hours. When contacted by RAB on behalf of Star, the company's director of media and legal affairs Lt. Colonel Ashiq Billah said that Ahmed Kabir Kishore was arrested in accordance with the law. "A defendant can say whatever he pleases."

Government statement:
But in the wake of Ahmed Kabir's allegations of torture, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan told the BBC that no torture had taken place in the jail and that it would be investigated if it had taken place elsewhere.

Mr. Khan said, "We will know where he was tortured - there was no torture while he was in custody. Where he is now - I have their statement .... No one was tortured in our jail.

Last year, cartoonist Ahmed Kabir Kishore and writer Mushtaq Ahmed were detained under the Digital Security Act. They were denied bail six times.

At one stage, Mushtaq Khan died last month while in jail. Shortly afterwards, the court granted bail to the teenager on March 3. He was released on March 4.
