Under the influence of accustomed to seeing since childhood, Tai Tzu-ying started playing badminton from the third grade of elementary school. He won the second group winner of the National Taiwan Badminton Tournament in the sixth grade of elementary school.

In addition to scoring the most records (21 winners) for the Super Tournament for the Women's Singles, in the following week, he beat Chinese player Chen Yufei, was five times in the top spot in world badminton, and so far has dominated the BWF women's singles with the highest points.
