While people were still busy getting over the Battle of Winterfell, Sophie Turner up and married Joe Jonas after the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, which featured the Jonas Brothers' first award show performance since officially reuniting. By the bride's side were the only other people who know exactly what it's like to whip up mad fascination in the minds and hearts of JoBro fans: Danielle Jonas and Priyanka Chopra.

Kevin Jonas' wife of, at the time, nine years and Nick Jonas' wife of five months were Sophie's bridesmaids at the surprise ceremony in Las Vegas, ahead of a splashier wedding party the following month in France.

Not that eloping in Sin City isn't splashy.

Having her two sisters-in-law by her side obviously made perfect sense, as Danielle and Priyanka were the closest Sophie had to family at the small Vegas chapel, and Sophie and Danielle, of course, were among Priyanka's dozen Ralph Lauren-clad bridesmaids when she married Nick in India in 2018.

But while she's had more time to get to know Danielle since she and Joe started dating in 2016, Sophie's close bond with Priyanka developed over the same whirlwind timeline as Priyanka and Nick's own courtship.

All are said to get along famously, but since Kevin and Danielle had two kids to keep them occupied (and are based in New Jersey), that gave Sophie and Priyanka more alone time—with each other, and as a foursome with their cupid-designated Jonas brothers.

Once Priyanka finally started dating Nick full-time in the summer of 2018, a few years after he first slid into her DMs, enamored by her Quantico billboards, it wasn't long before she was swept up in the family fold, which by then included Sophie, who got engaged to Joe in October 2017 after almost a year together.

"It is one of the things we were so drawn to about each other," Nick told Entertainment Tonight last month about the shared importance he and Priyanka place on maintaining close family ties.

"And the family's just getting bigger and bigger, and that's a beautiful thing. We love including our loved ones, our family, in everything we do… our house is for everyone, our doors are always open. That is, in my opinion, how it should be."

Nick brought Priyanka to his cousin's Atlantic City wedding in June and she spent Fourth of July with the sprawling Jonas family in New York, which started off with Priyanka and Nick on a bike ride with Sophie and Joe. 

"Happy Fourth of July everyone. I hope you've had a great day with the ones you love," the Baywatch star shared on Instagram.

Later that month they were all in London together and, in September, the foursome shared a box at the U.S. Open and reunited for dinner after a long day of watching tennis.

With a lot of attention being paid to Nick and Priyanka's speedy engagement, Sophie, who's celebrating her 25th birthday Feb. 21, and Joe became the more under-the-radar couple (relatively speaking, because it's not as if their date nights weren't extensively chronicled). But though the latter had their own obligations (including, for Sophie, a little thing called finishing the final season of Game of Thrones), they remained Nick and Priyanka's biggest supporters as they planned their destination wedding week in India and tried their best to ignore the naysayers who weren't quite buying their rush to the altar.

"Wow," Sophie wrote on Instagram last August. "First I'm blessed with an incredible future brother-in-law, and now such an beautiful, inside and out, future sister-in-law. I'm so excited to welcome you into the family @priyankachopra. I love you both @nickjonas."

In addition to being front and center in the bridal party pictures, Sophie was there for all the bachelorette festivities in the weeks leading up to the wedding, too, from the red-and-black-themed night out to the silk-pajama-clad sleepover.

Joe and Sophie were first out of the gate in condemning an article published (and eventually deleted) by The Cut after the wedding that questioned whether the newlyweds' love was for real, with Nick's brother first tweeting, "This is disgusting. @TheCut should be ashamed to have someone write such evil words. What Nick & Pri have is Beautiful Love. Thank u, Next."

Sophie, who spent some very formative years as a member of the relentlessly scrutinized cast of one of the world's most talked-about shows, and who has reliably used her platform to stick up for people who have been treated unfairly, added, "This is wildly inappropriate and totally disgusting. Very disappointed that The Cut would give anyone a platform to spew such bulls--t."

Priyanka chose to ignore the insult publicly, but surely she was grateful for the support from her brother-in-law and then-future sister-in-law—who, in her eyes, was already as good as family.

Priyanka has, in turn, been there for Sophie, who in 2019 shared with Harper's Bazaar how much her fellow actress—a former Miss World who was an unfathomably massive star in India before breaking through in the U.S. with Quantico—had helped her in her own times of need.

"I asked her, 'Where do you get all this confidence from?'," Sophie recalled, "and she said, 'Well of course I'm insecure about bits and bobs, but if you want to get the reaction that you want to get, you have to walk into that room and be confident, and walk into that room and own it, and make people feel welcome and loved and happy to be there with you."

And when her sister-in-law was nominated for an Emmy for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series that summer, her first-ever nomination, Priyanka was quick with the shout-out, writing, "Congratulations to all of the Emmy nominees this year, but especially to you Sophie. We love you and are so incredibly proud of you."

In a case of it's-a-small-world-after-all, Priyanka was photographed chatting with Kit Harington backstage at the Emmys in 2016, a year in which Game of Thrones was nominated for 24 Emmys and won 12, including Outstanding Drama Series, and most of the cast was in attendance, including Sophie. 

Nick and Priyanka eventually honeymooned just the two of them in the Caribbean, but they sure enjoy traveling in a group with Sophie and Joe, whether it was spending Christmas with Turner's family in the U.K., skiing in Switzerland, preening on a boat in Miami, or making snow angels en masse while in Mammoth Lakes during Super Bowl weekend.

In 2019, all of the Jonases' main squeezes have been trekking along with the brothers for a handful of performance dates before they hit the road for their first tour in a decade starting in August.

Danielle, Priyanka and Sophie supported the Jonas Brothers at a surprise show in Pennsylvania, where the crowd glimpsed Sophie and started chanting "Lady Stark," and were caught on video having a ball at a concert a couple nights later in Minneapolis, bouncing along to "Sucker."

"It's a great feeling," Nick also told ET. "It's kind of the dream where, as close as we are as brothers, that our wives and fiancée are so connected, as well."

"These incredible women have handled it so well and have been the best support system for each of us, individually and as a group," he added. "To get to share that with them is a really amazing thing."

In 2019, Sophie and Priyanka had their own dinner date in January and hammed it up with Danielle in March on the London set of the Jonas Brothers' video for "Sucker," co-starring all three "JSisters."

"We were talking about video girls and who should be in the video and everything," Priyanka shared on The View, "and the boys looked round the table and looked at us, and we looked at each other and were like, 'Oh yeah. That makes sense... look at who we're married to!'"

And of course, they all spent Turner's last few hours as a single woman together at the Billboard Music Awards before dashing off to the chapel on what turned out to be the actress' wedding night. While the guest list was kept to a minimum, Diplo had presumably been given the go-ahead to share the moment with his 5.2 million followers on Instagram Live.

The coronavirus pandemic put a decided damper on what surely would have been another year of frequent togetherness, but once it was a bit safer to mix households while abiding by advised precautions, Joe and Sophie, expecting their first child together, started paying Nick and Priyanka visits at their new home in L.A.

They were there barely a week before their daughter, Willa, was born on July 22, in fact. 

Talking to Entertainment Tonight in November, Nick said that of course he'd met his niece (and we're guessing that was a Mr. and Mrs. meeting) but wouldn't be dishing details on his brother's behalf. Though he did allow that Willa was "the best."
