Life of Survivor latest Covid-19 detection

Symptoms of Covid-19 loss of the sense of smell not only interfere with cooking or eating, but also affect the sexual life of some people.

Parosmia , a condition where the sense of smell is damaged, can make all smells go bad. This condition is experienced by most of the Covid-19 sufferers and survivors.

According to the person experiencing it, it makes them uncomfortable with their partner's smell and makes sex less attractive, even when they are excited.

These people also hesitate to kiss their partner because they always feel the smell of their own breath is bad.

"It's something that affects your relationships with yourself, with other people, your social life, and your intimate relationships," explains Duika Burges Watson, leader of the Altered Eating Research Network at Newcastle University, UK.

Covid-19 survivor Samantha LaLiberte, 35, said she could not tolerate the scent of herself or her husband.

"There isn't much intimacy right now," he said, as reported by Insider .

A study published in the Journal of Endocrinological Investigation explores how Covid-19 affects a person's sexual life . In this regard, Professor Emmanuele A. Jannini of the University of Rome Tor Vergata and colleagues found a definite link between erectile dysfunction (ED) and Covid-19.

Launching from Medical Xpress , ED is an indicator for overall health and is often a symptom of an underlying health problem. While Covid-19 can exacerbate or cause many health problems, it's no wonder it has something to do with ED.

The psychological problems caused by Covid-19 including depression and anxiety can also cause ED. In addition, the cardiovascular problems caused by Covid-19 also increase inflammation. It also triggers blood circulation problems and can lead to ED.

"To dig deeper into the relationship between Covid-19 and ED, I spoke with doctor Judson Brandeis, a urologist and male sexual medicine specialist," said Professor Emmanuele A. Jannini.

"He is worried that the Covid-19 pandemic will result in widespread erectile dysfunction," he added.

Meanwhile Brandeis explained that erectile function is highly dependent on blood flow that starts in the heart, pulsates through the large arteries, and then flows through the small blood vessels. Conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol, and smoking cause damage to the inner lining of blood vessels leading to ED.

"The corona virus hijacks our own cells to make new copies of itself which are then released throughout the body," Brandeis said.

"However, because our body has never seen this virus before, it has not developed antibodies. As a result, it tries to eradicate the invaders by launching a massive non-specific immune system. The massive response of the body ends up self-destructing especially in the endothelium which is the layer of delicate cells which lines the blood vessels, "he added. Problems that occur in these blood vessels that then trigger erectile dysfunction.

LaLiberte was infected with Covid-19 seven months before experiencing parosmia, suggesting that these symptoms can appear after recovering from the disease.

Although this symptom is common, there is currently no cure for parosmia or anosmia , the loss of the ability to smell.

"There are millions of such things out there, especially for conditions like anosmia related to Covid, for which traditional medicine doesn't really have the answers," said the ENT expert.

Even so, sufferers can restore their abilities by trying aromatherapy, which requires the sufferer to sniff out a strong aroma and trigger memories about the smell of the object.

This practice may improve the neural connections associated with smell.

There are some people who claim to love their partner with all their heart and are willing to do anything in the name of ' love '.

However, many people are still biased about the true meaning of love with an unhealthy obsession .

If someone you are dating showeres you with affection and gifts from the start, it can become a 'love bomb', where a manipulative makes you believe that he has found your girlfriend.

But in the end, they will be mean and start controlling you.

Loving someone means giving them space

In the book The Psychology of Passion: A Dualistic Model , reported by Insider , psychologist Robert Vallerand says obsessive passion is more of a threat to a relationship.

When someone is in love with you, they will trust and want only the good things for you, including making room for when it's needed.

Conversely, someone who is obsessed will become jealous and possessive . They don't like you who are independent for fear of you meeting other people and leaving them.

An obsessive person is defensive, controlling and irritable. So it's no wonder that women who have relationships with highly obsessive men admit to being less sexually satisfied.

The beginnings of a good relationship will be fun, and it will continue to be so. But if months later you get annoyed, become ignorant of friends, family, or hobbies that you enjoy just for your partner, then that's not a sign of a healthy relationship.

According to psychologist and relationship expert Jonathan Marshall, it is not natural for a person to focus only on one person until he is isolated from what was previously important.

"When that other person becomes our raison d'être, it's too much. Being in love is a bit of a pain because we get a little 'crazy', but if the madness lasts long, and you can't find the 'inner compass', then I am. think it's a sign that something's not right, "Marshall says, explaining how the passionate obsession grows.
