Taxi Driver officially presents the latest episode on Friday (9/4). The drama, starring Lee Je Hoon and Esom CS , replaced the broadcast slot of the hit SBS drama "Penthouse 2" which ended last week.

The premiere episode of "Taxi Driver" recorded a surprising rating. According to Nielsen Korea, the drama made a strong start with ratings averaging 8.7 percent and 10.7 percent for both parts.

In the same broadcast slot, "Taxi Driver" competes with JTBC's " Beyond Evil " which is enjoying a slight increase in ratings in the broadcast leading up to the final episode. The drama, starring Yeo Jin Goo, scored an average rating of 5.4 percent.

The inaugural episode of "Taxi Driver" also attracted the attention of Indonesian fans. Many especially paid tribute to the good looks of Lee Je Hoon who played the character Kim Do Gi, a former special forces officer who works as a taxi driver.

There are 5 members in Rainbow Taxi, namely former special forces soldier Kim Do Gi, leader Jang Sung Cheol (Kim Eui Sung), IT specialist and hacker Ahn Go Eun (Pyo Ye Jin), and engineering duo Choi Kyung Goo (Jang Hyuk Jin) and Park Jin Uhn (Bae Yoo Ram). On the other hand, there is the prosecutor named Kang Ha Na (Esom), who grows suspicious of Kim Do Gi and the unusual taxi service.

Meanwhile, "Taxi Driver" will present its second episode on Saturday (10/4) tonight. For those who are curious, don't miss watching it.

Recently Pyo Ye Jin Talked About His Role As A Hacker In The New SBS Drama 'Taxi Driver'. He Claims To Have This Kind Of Resemblance To His Character.

Ahead of the premiere of " Taxi Driver ", Pyo Ye Jin talked about his role as a beautiful hacker named Ahn Go Eun. He claims to have a very big resemblance to this character.

First of all, Pyo Ye Jin revealed the attractive side of his character. Even though Go Eun is (team member) the youngest in the drama, she has a confident charisma that allows her to control the other characters around her. I find Go Eun's personality unique and very charming,said Pyo Ye Jin.

The "VIP" star then revealed his similarities to Go Eun. I think of all the characters I've played until now, Go Eun is the one who looks the most like me. We are the most similar in a relaxed and energetic manner,he added.

However, he also has differences that are quite contrasting with these characters. Regarding how we are different, I am blind to technology,explained Pyo Ye Jin.

To be honest, because I'm not very good with technology, I'm amazed by the new gadgets I encounter with every new shot. At first I didn't even know how to use the walkie-talkie, but it was fun learning to use it,he explained.

Furthermore, Pyo Ye Jin explained how he prepared for his role. He commented, In order to properly convey Go Eun's personality through her appearance, I tried to use childish haircuts. I am also constantly thinking of ways to show Go Eun's chemistry with the Rainbow Taxi team members as well as her background story.

The director helped me analyze Go Eun's character, and he suggested that I incorporate a lot of my real-life cheerful and relaxed personality into my role. So I worked hard to do it during filming,concluded the 29-year-old actress.

Meanwhile, "Taxi Driver" tells the story of a mysterious taxi service that aims to avenge all victims who could not get justice from the law. The story focuses on Kim Do Gi ( Lee Je Hoon ), a former special forces officer who now works as a mysterious taxi driver named Rainbow Taxi.

The drama itself is prepared to replace the broadcast slot " Penthouse 2 " on Friday - Saturday night on SBS. The plan, the drama, which also stars Esom , will start airing on April 9.
