Design 

The model we evaluated for this review came in black colour and a stunning 4K IPS panel. At a glance, the ThinkVision T27p appears to be sleek, and elegantly stylish. The monitor is 27-inch in size and is visible even if you put it in a corner. Surely, you wouldn’t want to look at it twice, but its thin bezels are capable of capturing your eyes. 

The monitors comes with dimensions (WDH) of 24x1.8x14.5 inches with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The large screen is supported by a sturdy round base that although isn’t trendy, offer a modish look. This Lenovo monitor has a 90 degrees pivot angle and weighs around 11lbs (5kg). However, the total weight of the monitor including its base is about 15.3lbs (6.95kg). 

Display 

As we mentioned, this is a 27-inch monitor that comes with an aspect ratio of 16:9. It is an IPS panel with a screen resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Its screen delivers an average brightness of 350 nits (cd/m²) which is a decent performance, considering its price. 

This is a 4K Ultra HD monitor with a flat-screen and features LED display technology. Lenovo claims that the ThinkVision T27p-10 can display around 1 billion colour combinations. This is a bold claim, but we found it to be true when we tested its performance by streaming Pacific Rim. Overall, the display is pleasing and offers a satisfactory performance for its own standards.  

Connectivity 

The port selection on this Ultra HD monitor is adequate as Lenovo has offered a variety of ports to connect peripherals. Not it features a built-in USB hub but also has a fully functional Type-C USB port for fast data transfer and other purposes. Lenovo ThinkVision T27p-10 offers one cable connection to link compatible devices for audio, video and power purposes.  

Moreover, there are four Type-C USB downstream ports, DisplayPort, an HDMI 2.0 output as well as a USB extension to boost the productivity. 

Performance 

The ThinkVision T27p-10 is a 4K Ultra HD monitor that features LEC technology. It can deliver a maximum refresh rate of 60Hz with a typical sRGB coverage of 99%. By all means, this is a modest monitor with a stylish design that is perfect for home and office use.

Creative professionals can take advantage of its dazzling screen resolution to work on design projects. You can run any media editing software and will experience the colours oozing from its display. We ran Adobe Photoshop to test its colour richness and found the image on this monitor to be impressive. The display offered bright, vivid colours that appeared to be lively and soothing. 

1. Gaming 

The screen time of this monitor is 4ms, so you can use it to play heavy games. It offers a resolution of 3840 x 2160p but lacks behind in terms of refresh rate. In short, this is a large, high-resolution and 4H Ultra HD display, it is a monitor that is only suitable for entertainment and creative use. 

If you are an avid gamer, this is not the right monitor for you. We would recommend gamers to seek something that with response time around 3ms and a refresh rate around 120Hz.
