Athletics: Emilia Nova, Safwaturahman, Alvin Tehupeiory Chase Olympic Tickets
The Executive Board of the Indonesian Athletics Association (PB PASI) continues to prepare three athletic athletes who will be fielded at the Qosanov Memorial Meet in Almaty, Kazakhstan, 19-20 June 2021.
The three athletes who will appear at the event which is the final qualifying round of the Olympics are Safwaturahman (Men's Long Jump), Alvin Tehupeiory (Women's 100 Meter), and Emilia Nova (Women's 100 Meter Goalkeeper). They will be focused on pursuing tickets to the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
The event in Kazakhstan is the final qualifying event for the Olympics. So, we will target them to get tickets to catch up with Lalu Mohammad Zohri who already got tickets to the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, "said Secretary General of PB PASI, Tigor Tanjung who was contacted, Friday, April 9, 2021.
Initially, Tigor, PB PASI tried to hold an event involving countries from the Southeast Asia region in order to increase the quota for Indonesian athletes to Tokyo. However, the championship, which had already received approval from World Athletics, previously known as the International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF), failed due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
"Several Southeast Asian countries have been contacted but they cannot appear because the Covid 19 pandemic has not subsided. They object because they have to undergo quarantine when they enter Indonesia and undergo quarantine when returning to their countries according to health protocols implemented by all countries," he said.
In addition to preparing three athletic athletes for Kazakhstan, said Tigor, PASI also sent five athletes to perform in Japan, April 10, 2021. The five athletes who will participate in the women's 4X100 Meter number are Emilia Nova, Alvin Tehupeiory, Jeany Nuraini, Tiyas Murtiningsih, and Erna Nuryanti.
"We sent them at the invitation of the Japan Athletics Federation. This event is not only a test event but also a qualifying round for the Olympics. However, we are not targeting to qualify because the timing is not sufficient," said Tigor.

# Sergio Ramos: Real Madrid would have had many titles if it weren't for Messi
Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos mentioned the role of Argentine star Lionel Messi with the Barcelona team. According to him, Real Madrid would have enjoyed greater success had Lionel Messi not been in Barcelona.
The Real Madrid captain has won four Champions Leagues with the club, but can only claim five La Liga titles. That amount is only half of the trophy won by Messi with the Catalan team.
"We suffered against Messi for many years," said Ramos in his documentary series The Legend of Sergio Ramos quoted from Marca, Thursday, April 8, 2021. "Maybe if Barcelona did not have him, we would win more titles."
The former Sevilla player added, “There was a time when we faced Barcelona as the best team in history. We have great coaches like Jose Mourinho, but it's difficult for us to beat them. "
