Taylor Swift Slips on Ginny & Georgia Serial Sexism Jokes

The latest Netflix series, Ginny & Georgia, provoked the frustration of Taylor Swift fans since Monday (1/3) morning Indonesia time. They object to Taylor Swift's love life which is made a joke in the series.
In the last episode of the series, Georgia's single mother (Brianne Howey) asks about her daughter Georgia (Antonia Gentry's) recent relationship status. Ginny answered with Taylor Swift's life.
"What do you care? You even have relationships with men faster than Taylor Swift," Ginny replied.
Screenshots of the scene were then shared on social media and went viral. The hashtag RESPECT TAYLOR SWIFT also became a world trending topic on Monday morning, Indonesia time.

Not only fans or who are familiarly called Swifties, Taylor Swift also spoke up about it. Moreover, March 1 was the first day of Women's History Month.
Through his official Twitter account, Taylor Swift thinks the conversation is a form of lazy joke and sexism.

"Hey Ginny & Georgia, called in 2010 and said they wanted lazy jokes and sexism back," tweeted Taylor Swift.

"What if we stop looking down on hardworking women by interpreting these jokes as funny. Then @netflix after Miss Americana this doesn't look good to you. I think Happy Women's History Month," she wrote.
Taylor Swift has repeatedly rejected jokes regarding her love life. He even touched on this satire in particular through his hit song, Blank Space, in which he sang his 'long list of ex-girlfriends'.
Criticism was also included in the Miss Americana documentary film released by Netflix in late January 2020. The documentary features clips of commentators saying Taylor Swift is in a relationship with a man like a train.

Ginny & Georgia is a young adult comedy drama that tells the story of a girl and her mother who live together. Ginny Miller, a 15 year old girl who feels awkward because she often feels more mature than her mother, Georgia Miller.

This is not the first time that Ibrahimovic has criticized LeBron on political issues. Earlier at the end of last month he had also asked LeBron to focus on basketball instead of dealing with political matters.

Ibrahimovic described himself in awe of LeBron as an athlete. But he didn't like the LA Lakers star talking about politics.
On the other hand, LeBron was already responding. LeBron stated that he would still speak out against something that was considered to be the truth.

"In the end, I will never shut up about the things that are wrong," said LeBron quoted by Football Italia.

John's character is described as a smart person but has a dark past.

Not only Cha Eun-woo, other well-known artists are also targeted to star in this drama. They are Kim Nam-gil to portray the character Pan, and Seo Yea-ji as Won Min-ho.
Island is an exorcism fantasy drama adapted from a webtoon with the same title. The drama tells the story of Pan who needs a woman to end the curse of his personal life.

Meanwhile, Won Min-ho is the daughter of a wealthy family who is the target of the goblins. The two then unite with exorcist John who is filled with guilt for not being able to protect someone.

The three of them are also on an island filled with darkness and evil forces. They come together to gather strength to protect each other.
The Korean drama Island is rumored to start filming this spring or around the end of March to early May 2021. Island is scheduled to premiere in the second half of this year.
