City officials say all city hall doors are locked during the day except the front entrance. Maddox said several area businesses are also on lockdown and are only allowing customers who have made an appointment.

He said they have a population of 3,600, and now Barnett is solely standing out in the national spotlight. Maddox said Barnett's behavior does not fully represent the people who live in Gravette.

Barnett was also seen holding a letter that he's accused of taking out of Pelosi's office and leaving a quarter on a desk.

Joey Cannon is the General Manager with Can Do Hardware, he said he's seen Barnett around the city, but he doesn't know him very well. Cannon said he's just as shocked as everyone else to see one of their own residents on the national stage.
