Bayer Leverkusen continue to lose ground on Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich after crashing to a 3-2 defeat at relegation-threatened Freiburg on Saturday.

Sami Hyypia's side, who lost their last two league matches before the winter break, carried on where they left off before Christmas.
