Andy Murray re-hires Ivan Lendl

Murray said Sunday that he had re-hired the legendary Lendl, who helped him to win the U.S. Open, Wimbledon and Olympic gold in a purple patch through the 2012-13 seasons.

Citing his dislike of the traveling required in the job, former world number one Lendl left Murray's employ in 2014 to eventually be replaced by former French tennis star Amelie Mauresmo.

With Mauresmo splitting from Murray in May, the Scot has taken the opportunity for a reunion.

'I had two very successful years working with Ivan, he's single minded and knows what it takes to win the big events. I'm looking forward to Ivan joining the team again and helping me try and reach my goals,' he was quoted on his official website.
