Danny Ings: Liverpool signs Burnley striker

Ings netted 11 goals in 35 Premier League games last season, the 22-year-old's first in English football's top flight.

He has agreed personal terms and will move to Anfield on July 1 when his contract expires, though the two clubs are still negotiating a fee -- Burnley and his former club Bournemouth are due compensation under transfer rules regarding player development.

Ings is considered one of the rising stars of English football, and has been included in the national Under-21 squad for this month's European Championship in the Czech Republic.

It is Liverpool's second signing in a week after Manchester City midfielder James Milner agreed to join the club on Thursday, with the England international's contract at the Etihad Stadium to expire at the end of this month.
